I have learnt how to count in Maori to one hundred sometimes I still need help every now and then but I'm confident to count to one hundred.

Year 5 School Camp

School Camp

What i enjoyed was the climbing Because i was the first one out of all the groups to make all four climbing walls. I was going to give up but then i pushed my self i new i could make the climb. The worst thing about camp was trying to get to sleep as Samuel and Max were keeping us up i only got around 2 and a half hours. 

after the tiring Sleep i was half ready for the as we had some nice breakfast we thanked the cook and parents for giving us breakfast. So next we had are activity groups we had orienteering first we completed the hole thing are group was glad then we had go carting the go carts were fast and i got the fastest time in the group i felt proud with the things we completed.

This week was litracy week. We did many things such as golden ticket find, guess, the teacher, and we had Soraya Nicholas.

So What?

The thing I most enjoyed was guess the teacher and stop, drop and read.

last Wednesday Kauri athletics did athletics.

I did well in high jump because I came second and also came third in long distant sprints.

Now I am going to reps for high jump.

I am learning to understand how words are formed using roots, prefixes and suffixes.

My Writing Goals for term 2

IALT: Improve my writing by learning how to ;

* organise my writing into paragraphs
* use a variety of sentence starters
* use the correct language features of a narrative - dialogue

To help me with this goal I am using a 'Sentence Starter Menu'
It will help my writing to be more interesting and to hook the reader in more.
